Sakura: Restaurant

 

This brief was a collaboration project set out by the University of Hertfordshire between Interior Design and Graphic Design students. My brief was to design a logo and identity based on the existing interior design.

The project focused on Japanese cuisine, representing Kyoto, Japan and the elegance of Geisha's. 

​

I decided to brand the restaurant 'Sakura' as the cherry blossom tree (Sakura) is the national symbol of Kyoto, Japan. The name allowed for the logo to be designed as a delicate cherry blossom flower, echoing the precise aesthetic of Japan.
