GEN Z: Idents
The brief was to produce a brand for a TV network called "Gen Z". Also to create three 4 second idents to be displayed between shows.
"Gen Z" is a new youth-focused channel displaying content such as fashion, music, sports, politics, sex, and food. The target audience are born between 1990's to 2000's.
My design rationale was to produce an identity focused on the generation's mindset. Generation Z are known for being socially aware and open minded. The chosen brand colours were primarily blue and pink. This was to break the stereotype of blue for boys and pink for girls. Gender identity was subverted by the mix of labelling colours. An additional factor was the implementation of digital tech, as that is a prominent aspect of generation Z.
